The ‘Renaissance Series’ was funded and exhibited by Scottish Graduate School of Arts and Humanities in 2023 as part of the Research Showcase event. The series feature seven Renaissance figures from Flavia’s PhD research, it is a case of bridging the public with Italian Renaissance history through a series of collages. The history-making in contemporary media and arts nowadays cannot be separated from subjective and personal experience which are non-canonical. By creating collages, fragments are glued into a unity. Different ideologies and aesthetics interweave and generate new thoughts and uses of history.
The ‘Heteroglossia’ was featured in the Research First Exhibition of Advance Research Centre at University of Glasgow in 2023.
